thinksobrain will be playing Mujun'z in Niagara Falls, NY with The Whiskey Reverb and Dead Before Dawn.  The last time we played Mujun'z, there were a handful of people there despite STEMM playing down the street and Soul Asylum playing downtown.  This time, there's no excuse not to come out!

August 20th - Chugger's - West Seneca, NY

Speaking of excuses, what's yours for not buying a ticket to the Honoring The Idol 2010 Pre-Party at Chuggers in West Seneca, NY yet?  They're only $7 and the proceeds are going to charity, so even if you're not going to make it out, you're still donating to the Food Bank of WNY.  If you are going to make it out, you're in for a hell of a show - thinksobrain, God Size Hate, Ten Dead Heroes, and the ultimate tribute to Pantera, Penntera make up the bill!

August 27th - Broadway Joe's - Buffalo, NY

As of yesterday, thinksobrain is no longer performing on this show.  This was a mutual decision between us and the promoters of this show, and there's a reason for that, which will be explained later in this article.  Still scheduled to perform are Where She Wept, Diskreet, Wretched, The Breathing Process, and Antagonist, all very talented bands in their own right, so go check them out!

August 28th - Club Diablo - Buffalo, NY

Ah yes, Club Diablo.  The last time thinksobrain played there was May 17, 2008.  It was the last show for former thinksobrain members Lucifer and Anthony, and the last show for the band as a whole for nearly two years.  This time around, we're just getting started, and Club Diablo won't know what hit it when we take the stage with Dead Before Dawn, and Chakras from Cincinnati, OH!

September 25th - The Icehouse - Niagara Falls, NY

Look up two sections of this article.  We said that we reached a mutual agreement to not play August 27th in Buffalo.  Well, here's why.  In lieu of playing that show with Antagonist, the promoters felt that we'd be better off playing in our hometown, opening for SCUM OF THE EARTH, featuring former Rob Zombie guitarist RIGGS.  Tickets for this show will be $15 for advance purchase, and we will have tickets soon!

Along with thinksobrain and Where She Wept, four national recording artists will be on the bill as well:

From Whittier, CA, Prosthetic Records recording artist Antagonist, touring in support of their new album "World In Decline," which is available August 17th.

From Connectivania, CT, Siege Of Amida Records/Candlelight Records recording artist The Breathing Process, on tour in support of their latest album "Odyssey (un)Dead," which is available now.

Out of Charlotte, NC comes Victory Records recording artist Wretched, whose new album "Beyond The Gate" hits stores on August 3rd.

And out of Topeka, KS comes the band that Kerrang! Magazine named 2007's Best New Band in Death Metal, Siege of Amida Records/Candlelight Records recording artist Diskreet, whose new album "Engage The Mechanicality" will be available soon.

Sunday, August 1st, thinksobrain will open for F.O.F./EMI recording artists Smile Empty Soul at Broadway Joe's, 3051 Main Street in Buffalo, NY.  Smile Empty Soul are on tour in support of their album "Consciousness" which was released last year, and we are proud to be able to share the stage with them when they roll through Buffalo.

We've started planning for our upcoming trip to the studio, so you can look for new recordings out of the thinksobrain camp sometime in the next few months.  Meanwhile, our phones have been ringing off the hook (do phones even still have "hooks" anymore?  I mean, everybody's using cell phones instead of house phones, right?) with people looking to book us.

That leads me to the point of this post - thinksobrain's upcoming shows!

First, we're hitting up Mujun'z on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls on July 24th, in what could be considered a homecoming of sorts.  Sure, there are other bands playing around the area that night, but why jump on board a runaway train or build a house of cards with a monster when you can see Western New York's best kept secret for just three bucks?  Need more incentive?  Cheap beer!

Then it's off to Chuggers in West Seneca on August 20th to Honor The Idol, Dimebag Darrell with Penntera, the ultimate tribute to Pantera, among others. We've got tickets on sale now in our online store for just $7, and the proceeds from this event go to benefit the Food Bank of WNY!  Even if you're not going, consider buying a ticket to support a good cause!

Just 7 days later, we're back in our hometown of Niagara Falls, sharing the stage with Where She Wept and a couple other bands at the Evening Star Concert Hall on August 27th.  That show is just five bucks at the door, and the other bands on this bill are awesome.

And the following night, August 28th, we'll be in Buffalo, taking the stage alongside our good friends Dead Before Dawn at Club Diablo!

So, with all this stuff going on (and look at that, we still had time to re-design thinksobrain.com, AGAIN), it's a busy time to be a member of thinksobrain, and a great time to be a thinksobrain fan!  Stay tuned for more details on all of our upcoming shows!

We've also just announced another show, this one August 20th at Chuggers, 1800 Union Road in West Seneca.  This show is being put on by D.T.D. Entertainment, and partial proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Food Bank of Western New York.  Even if you guys can't make the show, we encourage you to buy tickets to help out this great charity!

We've also got a little surprise in store for you guys, but we won't be revealing what it is until Saturday night in Tonawanda!

After a two year absence, we finally managed to get back out on stage with our new lineup a couple of weeks ago.  We had a pretty decent turnout, but we know there are a lot more metal fans in WNY that could have been there.  That's where you come in.
